International Shipping Rates Increase

Friends, I am sure you’ve heard the news. The USPS recently enacted a rate hike for shipping costs. Though, domestically the rates will remain close to what they were, internationally, rates are a different story. First Class Package International Service will see up to a 60% increase for packages up to 1 pound while Priority Mail International will see a 8.8% increase.

For a taste of what sort of impact you might feel, a pair of examples: Prior to the increase the cost to ship one LP internationally (secured in LP mailer) was around $14.50;  Now that’s closer to $20.

The cost to ship something small like a shirt, booklet or 7” was around $9-$11 and is now $14.

We at Holloweyed apologize for any inconveince this causes, but know this is out of our hands. For international fans, we hope the desire to purchase our records doesn’t wane.

Being said, the last few remaining copies of Jack Ladder & The Dreamlanders' Hurtsville 180gram LP are still shipping worldwide.

Young Boys' fantastic new release, New York Sun will release at the end of February and will be available to ship worldwide.

Holloweyed Welcomes Young Boys; LP out soon

We’re excited to start the new year off with a new record. Brooklyn’s Young Boys have been a favorite of ours since we heard their demos early last year and we’re honored to now have their debut LP, the booming New York Sun, on the horizon for February. Full info soon. Until then, read a bit about the band and check out “Love Hits.”

With a rooted affinity for black-leather noise, synth-strewed weirdness and layered, wall-of-sound pop, Young Boys is a story that crisscrosses the continent. Formed by Oakland-bred David “Legs” McDaniel who, after traveling across the country, guitar in hand, looking for love and a place to call home, hooked up with fellow slimers Ethan Miller and a Minneapolis-bred player Lee Lichtsinn to solidify ranks in New York City.

Now knee-deep in NY grime and projected through technicolor static, Young Boys come armed with a pair of out-of-tune guitars, a drum machine and a certain, crunchy cohesion. The trio’s slobbering stance on classic garage pop balladry has awarded them gigs alongside Crocodiles, Sleigh Bells, Dengue Fever, Ex Cops and SISU and gathered praise from the likes of NME and The Village Voice.

Holloweyed is honored to release Young Boys’ debut longplayer; the six-song wave of growing deconstruction, New York Sun follows the group’s 2010 split with California noise enthusiasts FM Face for Digitalis and a 7” of “Bring Em Down” for Chicago imprint, Rococo Records. New York Sun will be issued on vinyl (w/ download card) and digital formats soon.
